Minimum Requirements
Candidates interested in applying for this position must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent qualification
- NQF Level 5 qualification in one of the following:
- Office Management and Technology
- Office Administration
- Secretarial Studies
- 2–3 years’ experience in front office administration within the tourism or hospitality industry
- 1–2 years’ experience as a Receptionist or Switchboard Operator (advantageous)
- Strong telephone communication and administrative skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel (proof required)
Applicants with experience in guest services, hospitality reception, or tourism operations will have an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing front office operations and assisting park visitors.
Key duties include:
- Receiving and directing telephone calls and relaying messages
- Welcoming visitors and assisting with guest check-in and check-out
- Providing information about park facilities, services, and activities
- Managing reservations and booking enquiries
- Assisting guests with changes to bookings
- Handling guest requests and complaints professionally
- Performing reception and entrance gate administrative duties
- Supporting gate administration and visitor services when required

Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position will be based on the Paterson Grade B5 salary scale, along with applicable allowances and employee benefits offered by South African National Parks.
